While the show hasn't been the same after Don left, I still enjoy hearing my radio buds - Mike, Robb, and Buzz daily. The format with book authors, financial eggheads, and the stupid power of 5 game won't be missed. Hope when they come back they have a more spontaneous show like the good old days.

Why bother anymore?
This sucks, I can't get to hear Don on a consistent basis and now this. I don't know, I was kind of getting used to the new show and really enjoying it. Of course, like most things in my life, the more I enjoy them the more they get ripped away from me.
I'm off to listen to some soft rock at least I know that that crap will be around forever-because I hate it!
Very, very disappointing...sad, really.
Best of luck to everyone, they're super talented and I'm sure they'll land on their feet.

This show isn't as good as Don and Mike, but it is better than 98% of what else is on. It's been on in the Portland Maine market since it began, as was the Don and Mike show, and has a lot of fans here. I sure will miss it.

Yep, still a good show, but i also didn't like their new style. At first they tried to make it a "zoo" format, and was annoying with 4 people trying to talk. And yes, their guests have sucked, BA is a sucky support person and is horrible at getting guests (psychics, pet experts, etc). One of the main problems of the new show.
And the station is going to fail, just like 105.7 their ex-sister station which went sports "the fan" long ago, and failed. This new "sports the fan" station will fail also, because no one wants to hear 12 hours of sports talk.

F@*$ sports talk. They just lost a fan. I will no longer tune in to WJFK. This was a bad move all together. Mike did a good job and the afternoon drive is not going to be the same anymore. As soon as he lands in another station, I will tune him up and happy days will be here again.

The really sad thing is......well.....is that it's the end of a broadcast era. That's it. Show's over. And as much as I wanted to love the Mike show it was not that good. In fact it sucked. Sucked big time. Mike had no idea how to run a show....well....he had the idea but couldn't do it. Most of it was filler with bad guests, Mike talking while eating, or the whole crew getting bombed. Didn't work. The power of f'ing 10, then 5, then Charlie and the power of 1. It sucked. But...move on....godspeed, safe home. Get the fuck out of radio and stay out.

Okay I'm a radio nerd, "you want to fight about it?"
I am sitting here in the dark, sipping on some bourbon listening live, to what is the last of *great* talk radio.
Working around the house - WJFK ON, driving - WJFK ON, work - WJFK ON. I'll admit it, as a young lad, I enjoyed listening to The Greaseman.
Then, I discovered Don and Mike in the morning on WAVA driving to school one morning - The Morning Zoo. WAVA went and did a format change to Christian radio - yuck (sound fimilar?) But so what! Then, Buzz and Robb, came along. A great new station was born. With Don and Mike, The GreaseMan, and G. Gordon Liddy what could go wrong. I mean, "He can kill you with a pencil."
Gordon was an Okay mid-day host - for a while... But, there was always the tried and true Don Geronimo and Mike O'Meara. The fun that insuedd... Dennis Mrphey, Nick Joe, Lewis the Retard (Don and Mike, Jerry!), Super Dave, Drunk Chad, the How you doing Guy, Horhay - the guy who LIKED Buzzy, Robert The Mail Man, Mr 40 oz', Ron and Fez, Sac town, Witchta and all the local and affiliate callers. The ups that downs that captivated everyone in the D.C. area and the Nation proper will be missed.
Between, Donnie G., Don and Mike, The Mike O'Meara Show, and the DGS Show that's a long time of GREAT radio, friend!
There was a Mud Hole that spewed mud!
Guess, I give myself a frontal lybotamy and tune in to 95.9 WGRQ...

So unhappy about WJFK dropping the O'Meara show. I also liked Big O and Dukes when I could listen. There's NO reason to listen to WJFK now. The Junkies jumped the shark a long time ago. First of all, they're dummer than dirt. Then they developed way too much attitude about $$ and getting freebies.
Mike O'Meara & Co: You are missed!!! [Except for Buzz -- whose unbiased (and too-often uninformed) politicking was hard to stomach.] I hope I can find O'Meara & Co somewhere on the radio dial very soon.

I loved the D&M show however Mike's show was just as entertaining. I can't
believe they took that station to all sports (what a joke). I changed my dial and
took off 106.7 the other day; it was super sad.
Not only did I listen to him I also listened to BigO & Dukes. Do they really think
sports will bring better ratings. Now on my 4 hours of driving each day my talk
radio is no longer with me.
Please come back Mike, Buzz and Rob, You guys are radio!

I was never as enthused with the Mike O'Meara show as much as the old Don and Mike show, but at least you had alot of "old buddies" on there. Sad to say, yes it's the end of an era. Let's all remember the good times as I'm sure everyone involved in the show will and look forward to greener pastures. A reunion, not likely but these guys made talk radio a shining beacon of what it means to be entertained. I will forever miss their shennanigans. The Don and Mike and Buzz and Rob show soon to be a documentary!

He was far too young and, frankly, still to sharp & talented to hang 'em up. Please bring the team back on another network. Listened to Don & Mike from 1992 until the end of the show last year. Listed to Mike's show when I could, and enjoyed it as well. Now afternoon radio is a vast wasteland of absolutely nada. This site is fantastic. Sure they hope to get pre-2005 shows in the archives soon. Keep up the excellent work...
