I, too, like Gladys Kravitz. Her calls always bring a smile
to my face. By contrast, "Make Us Laugh" always makes me
question the IQ -- and character -- of the average D&M
caller. No question that Redskins kicker Brett Conway got
the shaft; makes me wonder if things have gotten any more
professional in the front office in the 12 years since. But
based on what they did to Donavan McNabb, I'm guessing the
answer is a resounding "NO!". Sue Hawk (from
"Survivor")calls in and speaks briefly with both Brett
Conway and "Regis Philbin". Hysterical! Don tries to arrange
a live on-air interview between Brett Conway and WMAL's
afternoon guy (and Freyda's old boyfriend, really!) Chris
Core. Evil! The winning joke is dumped out by an over-eager
censor so we don't get to hear the punchline. Lame!
