The show opens on a tragic note -- Don has driven his car over an open manhole in the WJFK parking lot and caused significant damage to the undercarriage. What follows is a three-hour broadcast that demonstrates the genius of the Don and Mike Show. First, Don bring the building owner into the studio to demand restitution, then calls his lawyer, the Fairfax Public Works department and the Fairfax Water Authority to determine who is liable and how to receive compensation. Later, the gang gathers in the WJFK parking lot to stage a photo of the missing manhole cover incident, taking a few liberties with reality along the way. My favorite part is when Mike is doused with ketchup to replicate blood. Awesome! Then, as a follow up to the Timothy McVeigh execution the day before, D&M call a very nice lady at the Baskin Robbins in Terre Haute, to talk about McVeigh's final dessert: mint chocolate chip ice cream. Mike expresses his admiration for his new landscaping crew -- the second Mrs. O'Meara -- and Don reveals Freyda's desire to host a foreign exchange student next year.
