The show opens on a confrontational note -- Don is pissed that the young gal "on the dump button" has repeatedly hit the delay on a song that Don feels is in compliance with FCC regulations. I can't say I blame him for his frustration, but it's kinda sad that he (the Program Manager) decides to ream her out on the air. One of the listeners calls in to take issue with Don's behavior, which takes the show in an ugly direction. The guys pull it together and the show marches on...In one of the more controversial bits in a long time, Don sends Joe Ardinger out to the nearby neighborhood to go door to door, wearing a WJFK shirt and announcing himself as a "convicted animal sex offender" who is moving in and is legally obligated to notify his neighbors. It's a miracle that Joe doesn't get killed. Finally, Don describes his experience at the Donnie Osmond concert the weekend before -- he walked out 20 minutes into the show.
