What strikes me as I listen to this segment is how eager
people are to identify themselves with a tragedy. The sniper
has shot someone the morning before this show and the result
is a stream of callers who want to report how they have some
role in the tragedy -- from the guy who supposedly knew the
victim to the caterer who called in to tell us how his van was
searched -- it's all about *them.* There's even a guy in
freakin' RENO who wants to make it about him. SMDH. Imagine if
Facebook was around back in 2002!
